COVID-19 Studio Information

At Dance Explosion, the health of our dancers, their families, and our staff are of utmost importance. We take the current COVID-19 pandemic very seriously, and in line with current Victorian Government guidelines, we have made the necessary adjustments to our studio operations to ensure our community is dancing safely. Anyone attending classes at Dance Explosion must read the following information thoroughly, and follow the guidelines below in order to enter our studios.

COVID-19 POLICIES & PROCEDURES

(UPDATED 30/01/2022)

  • All new students & returned students over the age of eighteen will need to provide proof of vaccination at their first class in-studio.

  • Parents, siblings, etc. will be asked to stay outside of the building/venue, unless prior permission has been given by one of our directors. Parents of new students attending trial classes are permitted to enter the studio.

  • Anyone entering the studio must check in using the QR Code displayed at the entrance of the building.

  • At this stage, masks are required to be worn by anyone over the age of nine when entering and exiting the studio. Masks may be removed when dancing. This rule has the potential to change, and we will let you know any updates.

  • Hand sanitising stations will be set up at the studio. We ask that everyone entering the studio sanitises their hands upon entering and exiting the building.

  • Excluding the studio spaces and toilets, all other spaces in the building will be off limits (change rooms, offices, kitchen except for hand washing, etc.). Please be prepared in your dance clothes, and with a full water bottle before class as you will not be able to use these spaces.

  • Please ensure children and parents are washing their hands thoroughly prior to coming to class.

  • Teachers will be disinfecting areas of the studio frequently, including Ballet barres, door knobs, table surfaces, etc.

  • Dancers should stay home and get tested if they show symptoms of illness. Medical certificates may be required upon returning to the studio. If medical attention is required, please see a GP.

  • If you or your child test positive for COVID-19, please let us know as soon as possible so we know you will be missing class during the isolation period.

  • Teachers have completed COVID-19 Safety Procedure training, and are all fully vaccinated. If a Dance Explosion teacher tests positive to COVID-19 or must isolate away from the studio, we will endeavour to either find a replacement teacher, or your class may be moved to Zoom until they are able to return to the studio. Classes will continue at their regularly scheduled time.
